“All Calgarians should have access to water safety and basic swimming skills! Calgary’s youth should also have a safe and reliable space within their local community to access lunch and support during the summer months.” – Makena Hind, President & Founder
This year Forest Lawn Outdoor Pool will be hosting a volunteer-based program to spread water safety and water skills, with hopes to offer Calgary youth a chance to participate in an organized and structured program for lunch. We will surely work up an appetite; therefore, we will end each session with a lunch! We hope to empower Calgary’s youth with learning and/or developing their water safety knowledge and skills, without the barriers of hunger and registration costs.
If you know someone or a local program who might benefit from Calgary Swims for Lunch please share our information with them!
